چکیده
Experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that pyrrolic nitrogen in N-doped graphene induces significant charge-transfer from Pd to improve electrochemical oxygen reduction efficiency of Pd.

Imaging ion-molecule reactions: charge transfer and C-N bond formation in the C(+) + NH3 system.
The velocity mapping ion imaging method is applied to the ion-molecule reactions occurring between C(+) and NH(3). The velocity space images are collected over the relative collision energy range from 1.5 to 3.3 eV, allowing both product kinetic energy distributions and angular distributions to be obtained from the data. The charge transfer process appears to be direct, dominated by long-range ...
متن کاملLayer-dependent morphologies and charge transfer of Pd on n-layer graphenes.
We report thickness-dependent morphologies of a Pd film on n-layer graphenes. Via Raman spectroscopy-based technique, obvious charge transfer has been observed among Pd and graphenes, which is also dependent on the layer number. With the increase of the layer number, the Pd film becomes coarser, and the electron transfer becomes lower.
متن کاملImproved electrocatalytic activity for ethanol oxidation by Pd@N-doped carbon from biomass.
Pd@N-doped carbon (Pd@CN) exhibited four and two times higher peak current density toward ethanol electrooxidation than Pd@active carbon and Pd@non-nitrogen carbon. Controlled experimental results indicated that the incorporation of nitrogen into the carbon matrix improved the percentage of Pd(0) and increased the binding energy of Pd in Pd@CN, and accordingly enhanced the catalytic activity.
متن کاملDisulfide bond formation involves a quinhydrone-type charge-transfer complex.
The chemistry of disulfide exchange in biological systems is well studied. However, the detailed mechanism of how oxidizing equivalents are derived to form disulfide bonds in proteins is not clear. In prokaryotic organisms, it is known that DsbB delivers oxidizing equivalents through DsbA to secreted proteins. DsbB becomes reoxidized by reducing quinones that are part of the membrane-bound elec...
متن کاملUnravelling the mechanism of photoinduced charge transfer processes in lead iodide perovskite solar cells
Lead halide perovskites have recently been used as light absorbers in hybrid organic–inorganic solid-state solar cells, with efficiencies as high as 15% and open-circuit voltages of 1 V. However, a detailed explanation of the mechanisms of operation within this photovoltaic system is still lacking. Here, we investigate the photoinduced charge transfer processes at the surface of the perovskite ...
